Fair Photos

Yesterday I took out my photographs for the fair.  It was receiving day.  This day can be quite a zoo, check in, get your id tags, find the area for each photo, attach the tag and then hang it up….piece of cake..right?  Well, trying do that with 50 or so other people in a small venue all trying to do the same thing…and did I mention I had my two youngest grandsons with me…ages 6 and 4.  Thank goodness grandpa went along.  Here are the 5 photos I entered.  The three black and whites are of Chicago buildings, one color is of the Grand Canyon north rim and the other color is of my 6 year old grandson at the cabin.

I will let you know how mine did after the judging next weekend.  Make a nice day!

May yourself a good day  ~Ann

well done I am trying to make those tiny urls I thought this would work.  The link still works to get the paper but it didn’t come out as one of those tiny url links.  Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Have lots of blogs

Well I now have three blogs.  So my blog life has widened.  My desk top computer died of old age last night.  So, now I have everything set up on my laptop.  When I got this all set up I was able to access my old blogger blogs (there are two of them..one is just my journaling and musings) so the problem of no access was just my old computer all along.

I have a freebie to share with you here is a link to it.  it is on 4shared but the page that comes up is odd looking but at the bottomish part of it is a download link that takes you to the more familiar  4shared download.  WishI was more puter literate as to the technical parts but anyway you can get my brown background paper from my In a Deep Wood kit.  Here is how it looks.  it is a great brown with lots of distressing.

Here is the 4shared link AndyDesigns_In A DeepWood_Brown.jpg.zip

Enjoy

Summer at the Cabin

We had a wonderful few days back in July at the cabin we rent each summer.  The kids and grand kids join us and we just love it there.  It is totally off the grid.  No electricity (fueled by propane) and most importantly to my kids is that there is no cell phone service so they can really get away from the office.  We cook out, make s’mores and the grand kids can climb and hike to their hearts content.  It is only an hours drive from us but is in a remote area and a whole other world.  Here is page I made using one of the photos that I will enter in the county fair.  That is my middle grandson.  The papers I used are from my Still Waters paper pack (ScruffedUpGreen and YellowPuffs).  The Nature sticker and label elements are from my In a Deep Wood kit.  These are both on sale right now in my Andy Designs store at http://www.buttercupsndaisies.com.

We have been having some sensational summer thunder storms here in Flagstaff so that means no computer during the duration of the lightening so I am forced to get some house work done.  Yuck.  I believe in this adage that I read once, “No one ever entered heaven saying, ‘I wish I’d had more time to do housework’ “.

Good to see you again on my blog and come back often.

Make a good day for yourself!  ~Ann

Hello world!

I am back up blogging.  After the disaster of my first blog which I had for three years I have found wordpress and am happy!  I am back from Chicago and we had a great time at Spraguefest.  We took the Amtrak as part of our adventure and that was sure fun.  I am a working designer now and have items for sale at http://buttercupsndaises.com I design under the name of AndyDesignz (although it got entered at the the store as Andy Designs).  I have 2 kits and one paper pack.  The Let Freedom Ring kit only shows the elements preview but there are some great papers in there too.  Here is a preview of the papers.

I am enjoying designing and am really pleased with my newest creation, a highly textured paper pack that reflects these lazy, hazy dog days of summer.  Here is the preview of Stillwaters.  it is on sale for $1.50

I will post some of my Chicago pictures soon.  I am getting three of them ready to enter into the county fair.
